Viralheat Launches New All-in-one Social Monitoring, Publishing & Analytics Platform

viralheat-logo smallWhile there are plenty of social media tools out there that are great for certain things, it’s still a fairly fragmented industry. While services like Hootsuite, for instance, may be great for publishing, there isn’t a whole lot of social media listening integration. Services that do provide both, like Radian6, offer them as separate packages, and there is no single dashboard to operate from. Looking to solve this problem, Viralheat announced upgrades earlier today, including unifying publishing, listening and analytics from a single dashboard.

The new product is called Smart Stream, and is part of an entirely new redesigned user interface which focuses on how people actually use social media. Smart Stream lets users customize smart filters to view brand mentions by keyword, hashtag, and other variables across platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, blogs (via RSS), and even YouTube. These can then be saved for quick access, and also more importantly, are interactive allowing for engagement directly from the stream including replies, comments, retweets and more.

“The smart stream in Viralheat makes it easy to get a comprehensive picture of social media activity at a glance. The design is user friendly, operates smoothly and delivers actionable insights and trends quickly. Including Google+ and Pinterest is a definite advantage for organizations,” said Joe Nolan, Director of New Media at Men’s Wearhouse.

Men’s Wearhouse is one of more than 12,000 brands using Viralheats social media marketing suite, which is offered in three editions including a free version for up to 5 social profiles, a pro version ($9.99/month), and Premier which costs $99.99/month. Viralheat CTO and co-founder Vishal Sankhla  told Vator News in an article that, “5% of it’s 12,000 mid-market customers pay for premium access.” Viralheat was founded in 2009 in San Mateo, and raised $75,000 in seed funding before securing $4.25 Mil. in series A from Mayfield Fund back in June 2011.

Another unique feature included in the redesign is the ability to access targeted publishing for select social networks that allow you to customize your messages based on timezone, country, city, language and other demographic and psychographic information.
